Acute Care Services
Acute Care Mental Health Services are provided to the most seriously mental ill: - 140 beds are available for these male inmates at Marion Correctional Institution, and - 40 beds are available at Fluvanna Correctional Center for Women.
Inmates in acute care units must go through a judicial commitment procedure for involuntary commitment.
