GENERAL ASSEMBLY ALLOCATION FOR NON-MANDATED CHILDREN
In 2000, the General Assembly allocated $4.25 million each year of the biennium to DMHMRSAS to be used for services for non-mandated youth. Results:
- November 1 of 2000, rules and procedures for how CSBs could expend those dollars were put into place.
- In April of 2001, CSBs were told that no plans would be accepted after May 5, 2001.
- All available fund have been used or encumbered for 523 children.
- At least 17% of those children have had a referral from the juvenile justice system.
- DMHMRSAS will be providing more complete data on that allocation.
