DRC - MH Track Target Population
The target population - dually diagnosed offenders with no past or present history of violence and who remain in jail following arraignment.
Specific Criteria will include the following:
- 18 years of age and older
- Diagnosed as a substance abuser
- Diagnosed with a DSM - IV, Axis I mood or anxiety disorder with past history of stabilization medication or past psychiatric hospitalization
- Non-violent criminal history (defined as no violent felonies or a pattern of misdemeanor convictions that cause concern about community safety)
- Current charge that is non-violent in nature
- Willingness to receive services
