Therapeutic Community Programs
Therapeutic Community (TC) programs are residential units within prisons.
TC programs generally last from 18 months to two years.
Inmates are accepted into TC programs near the end of their sentence to prepare the inmate for release.
There are TC programs in 9 facilities with 2,000 beds available at a time.
