- Increase knowledge of effects of substances, addiction process and consequences of use
- Enhance motivation to change; elimination of substance use
Prescriptive
- 12 week cycle, 36 sessions
- Increased awareness of substance use history, relapse and recidivism prevention
- Knowledge of negative thoughts, thinking patterns and errors in logic and thinking
- Relationship of criminal conduct and substance use
