Steps for linking with secondary data set
- The before and after two-year period allows us to build a record that provides activity before inmate enrolled into the program and two years after inmate was discharged. This allows us to analyze the data to check for outcomes as a result of treatment.
- For example, if John Doe had reported 4 arrests in the two years before he enrolled into the program and only one arrest since discharge from jail, then we can say that John Doe reports a decrease in number of arrests as a result of the treatment program.
