Directed use of Byrne funds (requires a 25% local match) – Byrne funds are federal funds.
Take back IDEA funding from the general fund and restore this source of funding for drug treatment. IDEA funds are a percentage of court costs collected in drug cases.
Use the Offender Assessment fees assessed to all drug offenders for treatment instead of using this money to assess all felons, and misdemeanant drug offenders for substance abuse.
