Inflation-adjusted residential base rate are forecasted to drop by 14 percent from 2001 to 2007.
In sharp contrast to base electric rates, prices for other consumer goods have risen dramatically.
- Gasoline, up 25 percent
- Ground beef, up 17 percent
- Frozen orange juice concentrate, up 15 percent
- Butter, up 48 percent (all figures for 1998-2002)
