Attached are some further revisions to the amendments that Betty Long of the VML presented to the transition task force at its meeting on December 8, 1999.
According to Ms. Long, these changes have the support of all of the government and industry groups that have been involved in the process throughout. They are based on a meeting of all of the interested parties that took place December 16, 1999.
The language contains changes to the consumption tax section, which Ms. Long did not mention at the meeting because she realized later that the language regarding collection issues should be the same in both the consumer utility tax and the consumption tax sections.
